Weed Control & Fertilization Services

Round 1- Late Winter Pre-Emergent

Timing: January-March

This application is timed for crabgrass prevention. This is one of the most important applications of our program. Winter weeds will also be sprayed as well.

Round 4- Mid Summer Fertilization

Timing: June-July

Mid-way through the summer, another full rate of fertilizer is applied on Bermuda and Zoysia to help keep feeding the lawn and keeping it healthy. Fescue is not fertilized this time of year. Sedges and broadleaf weeds are also spot sprayed as needed.

Round 7- Fall Pre-Emergent

Timing: October-December

This application is designed to help prevent unwanted winter weeds such as henbit and purple deadnettle. Fescue will receive a full rate of fertilizer during this round as well. This is also the last scheduled application for the season on all lawns.

Round 2- Spring Broadleaf Weed Control

Timing: March-April

Some broadleaf weeds cannot be prevented. This service is targeted and timed for those spring weeds. A half rate of fertilizer is applied on Bermuda and Zoysia to help the turf get a jump start for the spring as it comes out of dormancy. Fescue lawns receive a full rate of fertilizer.

Round 5- Late Summer Fertilization

Timing: July-August

It is important to couple our fertilization services with an appropriate irrigation and mowing schedule. Watering and mowing are stressful enough to keep up with this time of year; let the pros at Elevate handle your fertilization and weed control portion. Bermuda and Zoysia will receive their last full rate of the year while Fescue is still not fertilized just yet.

Round 3- Early Summer Fertilization

Timing: May-June

Part of a healthy lawn is making sure the correct amount of fertilizer is applied at the appropriate times. This application includes a full rate of fertilizer along with spot spraying for broadleaf weeds and sedges on Bermuda, Zoysia and Fescue lawns.

Round 6- Fall Broadleaf Weed Control

Timing: September-October

As we start winding down from the heat of the summer, there will tend to be an influx of weeds. We time this application specifically for those issues. Since recent studies from the University of Arkansas show the importance of fall fertilization for Bermuda lawns, we also include a half rate of fertilizer. Zoysia is no longer fertilized at this point in the year to help aid in disease prevention. Fescue will receive a half rate of fertilizer with Bermuda.
